If you ask me why the name OnCuba the answer is not that simple. But it is precisely this complexity that makes it so interesting, it is the reason that it is captivating, enchanting…
It was not easy finding a name for this novel publication, and I am being modest when I say novel, because I could say unique and exclusive; since it is the first magazine directed at you, the travelers aboard all of the charter flights between the United States and Cuba. I cannot remember exactly who among our talented team came up with the name. After hours of searching we had not been able to find a name that captured the overflow of creative inspiration that filled the space where we were debating. The many cups of coffee were unable to stimulate the imagination or the exhausted faces, when suddenly someone said: …“¿What do you think about OnCuba?” The faces lit up, the room acquired color, and this magazine was born.
Beyond politics and historical events that have aroused curiosity and turned it into a news powerhouse, Cuba is a country yet to be discovered: captivating, enchanting, surprising. OnCuba sets out to be the descriptive pacemaker of all of these things that make up a country and its people, our roots, our culture, our idiosyncrasy and customs, the Cuban reality, its charm, its mystery. We want to welcome you whatever the motive of your visit to Cuba. Our magazine reaches you in time to get to know her better and as a prelude to new experiences.
If we could press a button and turn on, illuminate Cuba, how many beautiful and interesting things would we discover!
