They will as well exhibit national and international collections of rocks and industrial minerals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the Festival, they will present the puppet play, &#8220;Discovering the treasures of my planet&#8221; and open for public exhibition &#8220;Geoarte&#8221; that includes art pieces made with jewelry, precious and semiprecious stones, accompanied by a selection of photographs on major mineral deposits in Cuba.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Geologists and paleontologists will offer lectures about the mysteries of the Cuban archipelago, its origins, marine ecosystems, the composition of rocks and minerals, and fossils of animals that once inhabited Cuba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An inflatable planetarium with didactical materials, courtesy of the Institute of Geophysics and Astronomy (IGA), opens in Old Havana as part of the first edition of Social Festival &#8220;Geology and Society: a world to discover&#8221; organized by the National Natural History Museum of Cuba.
