A magazine can become more than a periodical. A magazine can, if you like, become a manager of culture, art, discussion or regular timely review space. Even achieving to become a specialized publisher and publish one hundred titles in just over ten years.<\/p>\n
That’s why on Thursday, December 19th at the Caf\u00e9 Brecht they present the multimedia Tablas. 30 years. 100 volumes (1982-2012) comprising all the issues of the Cuban magazine on performing arts. The compilation also ranks as the number one hundred published under the label of the Editorial Alarcos, with the overall coordination of Omar Vali\u00f1o, director of Tablas-Alarcos and playwright Alessandra Santiesteban .<\/p>\n
The design by Idania del Rio with programming by Dashiell Mart\u00ednez and Beny Cabrera, allows exploring all contents of the 30 years of the Tablas magazine, the editors of the publication explained.<\/p>\n
As part of the activities to mark the end of the year, there will be the collective photography exhibition Transgressions, gathering snapshots of theatrical performances presented in our stage in recent years, from December 20th at the Tablas-Alarcos headquarters.<\/p>\n
Finally, on December 21 at 4:00 pm there will be a special play of Chamaco, the work of playwright Abel Gonz\u00e1lez Melo, to be taken to the stage by Argos Teatro again. The text is published in the collection Cold air, by the Alarcos label. This time a new edition of the book will be launched, from Carlos Celdran staging for the Spanish public.<\/p>\n
Thus the magazine bids farewell to the year. Thirty years of paying tribute to the people of the stage and a hundred issues devoted to analyze, discuss or explain the current trends of this art in Cuba and the world or vernacular roots of our theatrical art.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
