In times of freighters and colorful <\/span>cruise ships<\/span><\/a>, the arrival of a sailing ship to the bay of Havana is not usual. But this Tuesday, Havanans and tourists had the opportunity to witness it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Juan Sebasti\u00e1n de Elcano training ship of the Spanish Navy docked this Tuesday morning, April 9, in the port of Havana, just a few meters to the left of the imposing Norwegian Sky at the Sierra Maestra cruise terminal.<\/span><\/p>\n

As it entered the bay, 90 years after its first visit to the island, the Spanish ship fired artillery salvoes that were reciprocated, as a welcome, by a Cuban battery from the San Carlos de la Caba\u00f1a Fortress.<\/span><\/p>\n
