{"id":202719,"date":"2019-07-20T16:22:49","date_gmt":"2019-07-20T20:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=202719"},"modified":"2019-07-20T16:22:49","modified_gmt":"2019-07-20T20:22:49","slug":"new-chinese-trains-arrive-in-eastern-cuba-with-several-unforeseen-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/new-chinese-trains-arrive-in-eastern-cuba-with-several-unforeseen-events\/","title":{"rendered":"New Chinese trains arrive in eastern Cuba with several unforeseen events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The inaugural trip of train number three, with Chinese-made cars, arrived in Guant\u00e1namo from Havana with some unforeseen events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a TV report by Sol Visi\u00f3n, several of the passengers thanked &#8220;the country\u2019s efforts&#8221; to provide this transportation service, but complained about the conditions of the toilets, which were clogged and &#8220;full of urine.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director of Railroad Safety Inocencio Garc\u00eda answered the reporter&#8217;s inquiries about the trip\u2019s unforeseen events by saying that &#8220;any new service is subject to perfection.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The train was four hours late leaving Havana with respect to the initially scheduled time, while passengers had to be present three hours in advance, which added about seven hours before starting the trip from the capital to the country\u2019s easternmost province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The passengers highlighted the attention of the train attendants, but complained that they only received one snack during the entire trip and that they were not allowed to get off at the stations along the way to buy food.
