style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;It is concerning that expressions of racism, violence and xenophobia in the U.S. are attacking citizens of the Latin American peoples, as a result of the outrageous discourse of hatred and rejection of the current U.S. government,&#8221; Rodriguez wrote on Twitter in light of the weekend\u2019s mass shootings in that country.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Es preocupante que expresiones de racismo, violencia y xenofobia en strengthening of the embargo and the new measures of economic pressure that seek to asphyxiate the fragile Cuban economy, have led the Cuban government to once again harden its rhetoric against what it considers &#8220;an imperialist [U.S.] attack.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-ve-ensanamiento-brutal-en-sanciones-de-ee-uu-contra-venezuela\/<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel this Tuesday rejected on Twitter the blockade of Venezuela\u2019s state assets in the United States, which he considers a &#8220;theft&#8221; and a &#8220;brutal cruelty&#8221; that should not be allowed, while reiterating his support for Maduro, who was given a new ultimatum by Washington to leave the presidency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Wednesday the official newspaper <em>Granma<\/em>, the most important in the country, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.granma.cu\/discursos-raul\/2019-08-06\/estados-unidos-plantea-la-amenaza-mas-perentoria-de-las-ultimas-cinco-decadas-a-la-paz-en-la-region-06-08-2019-22-08-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reproduced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on its front page the speech that former Cuban President Ra\u00fal Castro gave last April before Parliament, in which he harshly criticized the current U.S. administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Castro, who led the historic bilateral rapprochement with Obama, then assured the Cuban MPs that &#8220;the current U.S. government and its hegemonic ambition towards the region pose the most urgent threat of the last five decades to Latin
