En una evidente operaci\u00f3n concertada se trat\u00f3 de limitar los pronunciamientos de los revolucionarios en favor de la verdad. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/N1Dm8wtytW\">pic.twitter.com\/N1Dm8wtytW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Canciller\u00eda de Cuba (@CubaMINREX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CubaMINREX\/status\/1171942758824783872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fact was also &#8220;forcefully&#8221; denounced in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cubadebate.cu\/noticias\/2019\/09\/11\/declaracion-de-la-upec-twitter-censura-masivamente-a-periodistas-y-medios-en-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a statement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the official Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC), as well as by other journalists and state officials on that and other social media such as Facebook.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;As soon as the live broadcast of the Mesa Redonda informative program began, which started at 6:30 pm local time and was expected by millions of Cubans, dozens of professionals denounced through Facebook, Whatsapp and other social channels that their accounts on Twitter had been suspended. They could access their timeline, but the options of like, retweet and comment had been blocked,&#8221; says the UPEC statement, which states that the reason used by the social network for suspensions were alleged violations of &#8220;Twitter\u2019s policies.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>OnCuba<\/strong> wrote to the Twitter press team but still had not received an answer and the digital platform has not publicly clarified the reason for the suspensions or if it will be temporary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the media whose accounts were suspended is that of the newspaper <em>Granma<\/em>, the country&#8217;s main media and official communication organ of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), in its Spanish version, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Granma_English\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">English version\u2019s account<\/a> remains active.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/camilateleSUR\/status\/1171929274661658625?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1171929274661658625&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Foncubanews.com%2Fcuba%2Ftwitter-suspende-a-medios-oficiales-cubanos-gobierno-lo-denuncia%2F<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also the profiles of the Cubadebate official website, Radio Rebelde, Canal Caribe, CubaPeriodistas (of the UPEC) and the Mesa Redonda, the Cuban Television state program which featured the appearance of D\u00edaz-Canel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other affected accounts include those of press professionals of these and other media, as well as that of the Ministry of Communications and several government officials, and that of the director of the National Center for Sex Education, Mariela Castro Esp\u00edn, according to UPEC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cubaperiodistas\/posts\/645212125969798<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the account of the country&#8217;s second newspaper, <em>Juventud Rebelde<\/em>, remained active.
