Industrial Park, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-vietnam-crean-primera-concesionaria-mariel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a concessionaire of that enclave<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a subsidiary of the Vietnamese company Viglacera S.A. The Portuguese capital company is the 49th business to be established in the ZEDM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ecoplast S.A. has been authorized to operate in Cuba for a period of 25 years. In its plant, whose construction will begin \u201csoon,\u201d according to <em>PL<\/em>, materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC will be used for the manufacture of various plastic items, all with a \u201chigh demand\u201d in Cuba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its productions will include medicine bottles, containers for hygiene items, jerry cans, glasses, plates and other food containers. It will also produce and market molds for the transformation of plastics, paper, cardboard and rubber, and will provide maintenance, repair and recapitalization services for equipment associated with the molds, <em>PL<\/em> reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ecoplast, S.A. is a subsidiary of the Portuguese company Enpromoulds Molds Engineering &amp; Production Ltd., with more than 20 years of experience in the plastics processing industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"QoGgFHy0yD\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/primera-inversion-alemana-en-la-zona-especial-de-desarrollo-de-mariel\/\">Primera inversi\u00f3n alemana en la Zona Especial de Desarrollo de Mariel<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abPrimera inversi\u00f3n alemana en la Zona Especial de Desarrollo de Mariel\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/primera-inversion-alemana-en-la-zona-especial-de-desarrollo-de-mariel\/embed\/#?secret=qrb7Kdz6Rd#?secret=QoGgFHy0yD\" data-secret=\"QoGgFHy0yD\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded on November 1, 2013, the ZEDM\u2015located about 40 kilometers west of Havana\u2015has accumulated since then more than 2 billion dollars in investments. It occupies an area of \u200b\u200b465.4 square kilometers at a point of strategic importance for maritime traffic due to its geographic location around one of the main ports on the north coast of Cuba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2018, that enclave attracted more than 481 million dollars\u2019 worth of investments, its all-time maximum, according to official data.
