On that occasion, the State Duma expressed its opposition to the United States&#8217; attempts to impose a policy of hegemony and expansion against Cuba, violating the principles of non-interference in internal affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The State Duma now recalls that the majority of UN members have repeatedly condemned the U.S. economic, financial and commercial siege against Cuba, which has intensified in recent months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last October, the United States intensified regulations regarding Cuba&#8217;s export and re-export of aviation technique and telecommunication equipment, in addition to suspending the U.S. airlines\u2019 flights to Cuban provinces.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"paW8UqNrk9\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/rusia-una-tabla-de-salvacion-para-cuba\/\">Rusia \u00bfuna tabla de salvaci\u00f3n para Cuba?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abRusia \u00bfuna tabla de salvaci\u00f3n para Cuba?\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/rusia-una-tabla-de-salvacion-para-cuba\/embed\/#?secret=DYraV222Pw#?secret=paW8UqNrk9\" data-secret=\"paW8UqNrk9\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the midst of this panorama of hostility, Cuba and Russia have strengthened their <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/relaciones-cuba-rusia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bilateral relations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in recent months. Last May, Ivan I. Melnikov, first vice-chairman of the State Duma, made an official visit to the island, during which he <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mundo.sputniknews.com\/america-latina\/201905031087052978-rusia-incrementara-relaciones-con-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">assured<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Russia would offer help and assistance to Cuba \u201cin almost all matters.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just a month ago, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also arrived in Havana, where he <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/medvedev-cuba-es-un-socio-fundamental-de-rusia-pese-a-eeuu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">confirmed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that the island is a fundamental partner of the Eurasian power, and Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel reciprocated the visit earlier this week, when he met in Moscow with his counterpart Vladimir Putin.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State Duma (Russian lower house) is preparing a draft resolution to demand the end of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, according to Prensa Latina.
