However, migrant advocacy activists claim they are Cubans who <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/emigracion-cubana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">left<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the island for economic reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe condemn the murder and demand from the Mexican authorities an urgent and rigorous investigation, according to the seriousness of the case,\u201d Rub\u00e9n Figueroa demanded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last October, the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) team in Tenosique, Tabasco, denounced the \u201cincrease in kidnappings and extreme <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/violencia-en-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">violence<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> towards migrants on the southern border of Mexico.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The warning came based on testimonies collected by that organization that provides medical and psychological care to migrants who travel through southeastern Mexico and who report kidnappings, torture, extreme violence, cruel treatment and sexual assault for extortion purposes, to which that population is being exposed.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"fCq3dnWjSS\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/mundo\/sentencian-en-eeuu-a-traficantes-de-cubanos-asesinados\/\">Sentencian en EEUU a traficantes de cubanos asesinados<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abSentencian en EEUU a traficantes de cubanos asesinados\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/mundo\/sentencian-en-eeuu-a-traficantes-de-cubanos-asesinados\/embed\/#?secret=U4pZpIcT7p#?secret=fCq3dnWjSS\" data-secret=\"fCq3dnWjSS\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In less than a month, MSF cared for 11 migrants who were victims of kidnapping and torture.
