Violan la Convenci\u00f3n de Viena, el acuerdo de restablecimiento de relaciones y las leyes cubanas y estadounidenses.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bruno Rodr\u00edguez P (@BrunoRguezP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrunoRguezP\/status\/1199310365420589056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 26, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Days ago, the Cuban government accused the U.S. diplomatic mission on the island, and particularly its Charg\u00e9 d&#8217;Affaires Mara Tekach, of concentrating on the \u201cfailed purpose of recruiting mercenaries, of promoting division and confusion among our people,\u201d as well as \u201cidentifying areas of the economy against which to direct coercive measures, and trying to slander and discredit the work of the Cuban government and the Revolution,\u201d according to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.granma.cu\/cuba\/2019-11-20\/nueva-campana-de-calumnias-de-ee-uu-contra-cuba-20-11-2019-01-11-39\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published in the newspaper <em>Granma<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statement came to light as a result of the relevance reached in the media and social media of the case of Jos\u00e9 Daniel Ferrer, a leading member of a group that opposes the Cuban government and who is detained, according to the official version, on suspicion of kidnapping and assaulting another man.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. government and opposition groups reject this version\u2015which they call an \u201cinvention\u201d\u2015and have demanded that Havana free Ferrer. But in the opinion of the Cuban government, these pronouncements are part of a \u201ccampaign to discredit Cuba.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe United States Embassy in Cuba has been the fundamental vehicle of attention, orientation and financing of the behavior of Jos\u00e9 Daniel Ferrer, in a clear manifestation of interference in the internal affairs of Cuba and of an open instigation to violence,\u201d says the government statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"oTlJUIjbLm\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/cuban-government-accuses-u-s-charge-daffaires-of-illegal-actions-in-cuba\/\">Cuban government accuses U.S. charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires of illegal actions in Cuba<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Cuban government accuses U.S. charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires of illegal actions in Cuba&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews English\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/cuban-government-accuses-u-s-charge-daffaires-of-illegal-actions-in-cuba\/embed\/#?secret=FAwheAibOw#?secret=oTlJUIjbLm\" data-secret=\"oTlJUIjbLm\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The accusations against the charg\u00e9 d&#8217;affaires and the U.S. Embassy constituted a change in Cuba\u2019s normal language with respect to its relations with the United States, which had remained restrained despite the escalation of the Trump administration against the island, with sanctions directed at restricting income and cutting off access to fuel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the Cuban statement, Pompeo <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/mike-pompeo-defends-u-s-diplomats-in-havana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">defended<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tekach and the diplomatic mission on the island, which, he said, \u201cremain steadfast\u00a0as they carry out the President\u2019s mission to defend human rights and advance the cause of democracy in Cuba.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the opinion of the Secretary of State, the Cuban government \u201chas launched these baseless allegations in an attempt to distract the international community from its treatment of the Cuban people, especially the ongoing arbitrary detention of dissident Jose Daniel Ferrer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the general director for the U.S. of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Carlos Fern\u00e1ndez de Coss\u00edo, had said that the U.S. government has hindered the granting of visas to Cuban diplomats, which \u201cforces Cuba to reciprocate.\u201d He also said that \u201cit is something they are trying to present as an incident\u201d to seek the closure of embassies and break bilateral relations, about which Foreign Minister Rodr\u00edguez has warned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The links between Cuba and the United States are going through a critical moment after the end of the \u201cthaw\u201d promoted by former presidents Barack Obama and Ra\u00fal Castro.
