Refined Alcohols Distillery<\/em>, a joint venture with capital from the AzCuba Sugar Group and a Spanish company, was inaugurated last Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <em>Radio Ciudad del Mar<\/em>, the plant has the capacity to distill around 1,000 hectoliters of refined alcohols daily that are used primarily in the production of rum, perfumery and cosmetics, and its main clients are Havana Club International, Cuba Ron and Suchel Camacho.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After six years of nonoperation, its rehabilitation began in May 2018, with an investment of more than 4 million dollars.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"qVYncZVolf\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-reactiva-su-mayor-destileria-con-inversion-y-tecnologia-espanolas\/\">Cuba reactiva su mayor destiler\u00eda con inversi\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda espa\u00f1olas<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abCuba reactiva su mayor destiler\u00eda con inversi\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda espa\u00f1olas\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-reactiva-su-mayor-destileria-con-inversion-y-tecnologia-espanolas\/embed\/#?secret=EFSXprBVx5#?secret=qVYncZVolf\" data-secret=\"qVYncZVolf\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since <em>Alficsa<\/em> began its initial trial period, so far it has already produced 3.3 billion liters of alcohol, and exports are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020, Granma newspaper reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The distillery uses Cuban crude oil for its operation and as the main raw material sugar cane molasses.
