The bilateral fund is 2.7 million and will be added to another 20 million from the French Agency for Development and a European grant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both projects are part of the fund derived from the 2016 agreement between the two countries on Cuba&#8217;s debt with France, endowed with 212 million euros to finance development programs of common interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"exGaKRG3Ws\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/francia-por-mas-negocios-con-cuba\/\">Francia por m\u00e1s negocios con Cuba<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abFrancia por m\u00e1s negocios con Cuba\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/francia-por-mas-negocios-con-cuba\/embed\/#?secret=bt5pFaYmJ2#?secret=exGaKRG3Ws\" data-secret=\"exGaKRG3Ws\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malmierca insisted that the support of governments such as that of France is essential for the business sector to feel protected against \u201cthe consequences of the U.S. economic and commercial blockade.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFrance,\u201d he added, \u201cguarantees French entrepreneurs the possibility to continue working successfully in Cuba and be protected against these threats.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The French secretary of state, meanwhile, said that this collaboration \u201csymbolizes the will to build in a context, needless to say, complicated by the U.S. embargo, which France rejects.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He recalled that the European Union has taken measures since the 1990s and that France \u201chas been decisive\u201d in these European initiatives \u201cto protect legitimate economic activities and investments.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are pleased to know that we are not alone and that other countries such as France support our fight against this blockade, which is undoubtedly a measure that goes against international law,\u201d said Malmierca.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>France and Cuba signed this Friday two agreements for which Paris will invest 5 million euros in an agro-tourism project and 2.7 million for the reconstruction of water networks, as well as strengthening their commercial cooperation.
