(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/etecsa-es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ETECSA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) lowered the price of internet surfing in the island\u2019s Wi-Fi areas and navigation rooms through the Nauta account service, as of this Saturday, January 4.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The measure lowers the rate of these permanent surfing accounts from 1.00 CUC (Cuban convertible peso) per hour to 0.70 CUC\/hour.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">ETECSA informa: Nueva tarifa de Navegaci\u00f3n Nauta a partir de este 4\/1\/2020.<br \/>La tarifa del servicio nauta de las cuentas de navegaci\u00f3n permanente, se reduce de 1.00 cuc\/hora a 0.70 cuc\/hora.<br \/>M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n en  <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pgE92zsztf\">https:\/\/t.co\/pgE92zsztf<\/a> o llamando al 118 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vNHC92QdoF\">pic.twitter.com\/vNHC92QdoF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; ETECSA (@ETECSA_Cuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ETECSA_Cuba\/status\/1213280077661782016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Days ago, the state company that controls this sector on the island had carried out <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/etecsa-announces-discounts-on-surfing-through-nauta-permanent-accounts-until-january-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a promotion of this service<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cin order to offer the population more options for their communication at the end of the year, in which the capacities were made available on the network during the school recess and work break,\u201d ETECSA\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.etecsa.cu\/inicio\/enero\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">official press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This promotion concluded this January 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An ETECSA specialist commented this Saturday morning on the <em>Buenos D\u00edas TV<\/em> program that the discount did not include the Nauta Hogar service, which allows access to home internet, as this has its own rates for 30-hour monthly packages\u2015with prices that vary according to the contracted connection speed\u2015, and with a previous reduction higher than the one now made for the Nauta accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/etecsa-lowers-internet-prices-for-nauta-hogar-users\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this discount<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, established last August 1, customers with a prepaid account of Nauta Hogar can surf at 0.50 CUC per hour when they have consumed the 30 hours of the package previously contracted and have a balance in their account.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The measure that took effect this Saturday does not include internet surfing through mobile data, either on the 3G or 4G network, which has its own packages and rates\u2015with high prices for average Cubans\u2015, and requires technical specificities for access.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"p457Fr4fUq\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/etecsa-launches-new-mobile-internet-offer-in-cuba\/\">ETECSA launches new mobile internet offer in Cuba<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;ETECSA launches new mobile internet offer in Cuba&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews English\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/etecsa-launches-new-mobile-internet-offer-in-cuba\/embed\/#?secret=WrGVSpuBkY#?secret=p457Fr4fUq\" data-secret=\"p457Fr4fUq\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So far, ETECSA has not given more details about the new discount, although its release clarifies that \u201cfor more information,\u201d customers can dial 118, call the commercial information service or visit the website <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.etecsa.cu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.etecsa.cu<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cuban Telecommunications Enterprise S.A.
