Three girls died this Monday in Havana as a result of the collapse of a balcony of a building in the Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda neighborhood, in Old Havana, the <\/span>Cubadebate<\/span><\/i><\/a> site reported, citing the Facebook profile of the <\/span>Canal Habana<\/span><\/a> TV channel.<\/span><\/p>\n

The girls, neighbors of that Havana neighborhood, were returning from the Quint\u00edn Banderas School when the collapse of part of the building occurred, according to posts on the social networks and independent media that reported the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

The neighbors of the place said that the old building was subject to demolition, but the works stopped and those responsible gave no explanation to the community. This information has not been confirmed by official sources.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>Cubadebate<\/span><\/i>, the victims of the collapse are Mar\u00eda Karla Fuentes and Lisnavy Vald\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez, both 12 years old, and Roc\u00edo Garc\u00eda N\u00e1poles, 11 years old. The publication says that after the tragedy, the main authorities of the province came to the place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Journalist Ra\u00fal Rodr\u00edguez, of the official radio station <\/span>Radio Habana Cuba<\/span><\/i>, also wrote about the fatal incident on his Facebook social network account.<\/span><\/p>\n
