According to data provided at the end of March 21, at 8:00 am this Saturday, another 4 new cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Cuba.<\/p>\n

The total since the first case was reported is 25 in the country, although only 23 people remain hospitalized.<\/p>\n

One of the 25 confirmed cases was an American who was evacuated to the United States last Friday in an ambulance plane.<\/p>\n

The other, the 61-year-old Italian patient who died in the early hours of March 18.<\/p>\n

Two of the 23 patients currently hospitalized are reported in critical condition and one is in serious condition.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Public Health reports that 716 people are hospitalized for clinical-epidemiological surveillance in the isolation and care centers created for this purpose.<\/p>\n

Of these \u201csuspicious\u201d cases, 205 are foreigners and 511 are Cubans.<\/p>\n

Another 28,139 people are monitored at home in Primary Health Care.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, a Cuban medical brigade of 52 doctors and nurses left for Italy to collaborate in the fight against COVID-19 in the region of Lombardy, in the north of the country.<\/p>\n
