This is the first community in Cuba that is isolated due to the epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>The first secretary of the Communist Party in the province of Pinar del R\u00edo, where the People\u2019s Council is quarantined, said that \u201cthe screenings must be intensified,\u201d as well as the study of positive cases, in addition to \u201cstudying all the potentials to create capacities for isolation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AMPPC.Sur\/posts\/2595067174093627<\/p>\n<p>In the Camilo Cienfuegos community, located in El Canal, several local infections of the virus occurred with a couple who returned from Mexico and was confirmed with COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, the disease was diagnosed in a minor patient, the couple&#8217;s son, and 48 contacts of the infected child were identified, according to information published by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rguama.icrt.cu\/consolacion-del-sur-reporta-cuatros-casos-positivos-a-la-covid-19-uno-en-estado-grave\/?fbclid=IwAR0Fb_NLtRwU0o3QYijvLvqgtNb4W3_GwMNckg9iDgRFPIwlbv7B2u91ihU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) confirmed in its report the contagion of another woman, 61, also residing in Consolaci\u00f3n del Sur, a municipality in Pinar del Rio with a population of around 88,500 inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 33 contacts of that patient were detected and placed under surveillance, the MINSAP report said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Fg3iKvLNst\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/consolacion-del-sur-en-toque-de-queda-despues-de-las-ocho-de-la-noche\/\">Consolaci\u00f3n del Sur en toque de queda despu\u00e9s de las ocho de la noche<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00abConsolaci\u00f3n del Sur en toque de queda despu\u00e9s de las ocho de la noche\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/consolacion-del-sur-en-toque-de-queda-despues-de-las-ocho-de-la-noche\/embed\/#?secret=LPelAzR0oz#?secret=Fg3iKvLNst\" data-secret=\"Fg3iKvLNst\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That same day, the municipal authorities decreed a curfew starting at 8:00 p.m., making it the first territory on the island to apply mandatory movement restriction measures to its citizens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the spread of the new coronavirus in the territory, and as part of the sanitary and epidemiological measures established in order to eradicate the pandemic in that municipality, it was established that persons should not leave their homes after 8:00 p.m. or loiter in public areas at night,\u201d the Municipal Assembly then published on its official Facebook profile.<\/p>\n<p>Before this community in Consolaci\u00f3n del Sur, the MINSAP had already confirmed a case of local transmission of the coronavirus in the province of Matanzas, based on a confirmed case that infected several people in his surroundings. However, no specific restrictive measures have been taken in that first territory.<\/p>\n<p>Until the close of this Monday, Cuba reported 186 patients of COVID-19, of whom six have died and eight have been discharged.
