In addition, the number of deceased remained at six and a new medical discharge was registered, the thirteenth.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 576 tests made at the close of Wednesday, the MINSAP confirmed 21 new infections. Twelve of the cases are women and nine are men, while by provinces Havana added five cases; Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Ciego de \u00c1vila and Santiago de Cuba, three each; Pinar del R\u00edo, two; and Artemisa and Camag\u00fcey, one.<\/p>\n<p>The discharged patient, according to MINSAP, was the \u201cindex case\u201d of the second local transmission event, reported in the Camilo Cienfuegos community in the municipality of Consolaci\u00f3n del Sur, in Pinar del R\u00edo. Of the latter, 206 have a stable clinical evolution, while five are reported in critical condition and two in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another 25,920 persons are being monitored in their homes through the primary healthcare system, and screenings continue in search of persons suspected of having COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Globally, the number of patients has already exceeded 950,000, while there are already more than 5,000 deceased. The United States, Italy, Spain, Germany and China are the countries with the most reported cases so far.
