There they will support the work of other Cuban collaborators and local doctors in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"0O5c8C7PMf\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/cuban-doctors-and-the-coronavirus-pandemic\/\">Cuban doctors and the coronavirus pandemic<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Cuban doctors and the coronavirus pandemic&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews English\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/cuban-doctors-and-the-coronavirus-pandemic\/embed\/#?secret=4vWim8iOWG#?secret=0O5c8C7PMf\" data-secret=\"0O5c8C7PMf\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the 17th brigade, the first of its kind to reach the African continent. It is made up of more than 200 collaborators, especially specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine and graduates in nursing and health technicians.<\/p>\n<p>The brigade comprises 136 women and 78 men, 188 doctors, 24 nursing graduates and 2 technicians. Fifty-six percent are between 50 and 59 years old. All the country\u2019s provinces and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality are represented.
