A very important fact: 26 of these people were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>The residence by province and municipality of the cases added today is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pinar del R\u00edo: 1 (from Consolaci\u00f3n del Sur municipality)<\/li>\n<li>Artemis: 1 (from San Crist\u00f3bal municipality)<\/li>\n<li>Mayabeque: 2 (from Melena del Sur municipality)<\/li>\n<li>Havana: 12 (2 from Playa municipality, 2 from Centro Habana, 2 from Regla; Diez de Octubre, La Lisa, Cotorro, Cerro, Plaza de la Revoluci\u00f3n, Arroyo Naranjo, 1 each).<\/li>\n<li>Matanzas: 1 (from Matanzas municipality)<\/li>\n<li>Villa Clara: 7 (4 from Camajuan\u00ed municipality; Caibari\u00e9n, Santa Clara and Manicaragua, 1 each)<\/li>\n<li>Ciego de \u00c1vila: 8 (4 from Ciego de \u00c1vila municipality, 2 from Mor\u00f3n, 1 from Florencia and 1 from Venezuela)<\/li>\n<li>Camag\u00fcey: 6 (from Camag\u00fcey municipality)<\/li>\n<li>Holgu\u00edn: 10 (9 from Gibara municipality and 1 from Holgu\u00edn)<\/li>\n<li>Guant\u00e1namo: 1 (from El Salvador municipality)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The persons admitted for clinical-epidemiological surveillance totaled 1,867 at the time of closing this report by MINSAP. Another 9,761 people are under primary healthcare surveillance in their homes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OnCuba<\/strong>, interested in the mechanisms used in the tests carried out on the suspected cases in the Isla de la Juventud, taking into account the reduction in transportation between the special municipality and the rest of the country, received a response from Dr. Dur\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is done by air,\u201d he said, adding: \u201cThe cases that have been confirmed have been and will continue to be by this route.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout Cuba a mechanism has existed for more than 10 years, that as the national reference laboratory is in the IPK (Pedro Kour\u00ed Institute of Tropical Medicine), since always, of all the samples, a group of them is sent to the IPK. There is a mechanism established with the buses from Viazul, which transport these samples in adequate preservation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The specialist also added that, with the reduction of passenger transportation, cars destined for this activity are now used.<\/p>\n<p>In the eastern zone the samples are analyzed in Santiago de Cuba; those of the center, in Villa Clara; meanwhile, Havana does it in the same province. In the West, the samples go to the IPK; but, those of the sick admitted to the Naval Hospital, and those of Mayabeque, due to their proximity, are taken to the laboratory of the Civil Defense Research Center.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 564 diagnosed patients, 485 have a stable clinical evolution. Six patients are in critical condition and five in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>Two evacuees and 51 discharges were also reported.
