This is the case of two women, one 67 years old with a history of bronchial asthma and the other 98 years old, with ischemic heart disease and controlled diabetes mellitus.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the COVID-19 victims were: a 35-year-old resident of Cienfuegos; an 84-year-old woman, a resident of Santa Clara; a woman residing in Plaza de la Revoluci\u00f3n, 80 years old, and an 80-year-old man residing in Camajuan\u00ed, Villa Clara. Of these, 45 were related to confirmed cases and the source of infection of 5 was not specified; 29 are men and 21 are women, while the most affected age groups are: under 40, with 50.0%, followed by the age group between 40 and 60, with 36.0%; 36 of all new infections were asymptomatic.<\/p>\n<p>The confirmed residence by province and municipality is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pinar del R\u00edo: 2 (in the municipality of San Luis).<\/li>\n<li>Havana: 30 (7 from the municipality of Diez de Octubre; Old Havana, Habana del Este and San Miguel del Padr\u00f3n, 4 each; Guanabacoa, Regla and Cerro, 2 each; Arroyo Naranjo, La Lisa, Plaza de la Revoluci\u00f3n, Playa and Boyeros, 1 each).<\/li>\n<li>Mayabeque: 3 (from Bataban\u00f3 municipality).<\/li>\n<li>Matanzas: 3 (from C\u00e1rdenas, Matanzas and Perico municipalities, 1 each).<\/li>\n<li>Villa Clara: 4 (2 from Corralillo municipality; Santa Clara and Camajuan\u00ed, 1 each).<\/li>\n<li>Cienfuegos: 4 (from Cienfuegos municipality).<\/li>\n<li>Camag\u00fcey: 1 (from Nuevitas municipality).<\/li>\n<li>Las Tunas: 1 (from Puerto Padre municipality).<\/li>\n<li>Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality: 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Seven people are reported in critical condition and four in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>At the close of April 23, 3,393 people were admitted to hospitals, while another 6,727 were still in their homes with surveillance from the primary health care system.<\/p>\n<p>Until yesterday, Cuba had processed 36,134 samples.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Cuba, the authorities of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported that the COVID-19 disease has claimed 49 lives after yesterday reporting its worst day with six deaths.
