{"id":218033,"date":"2020-04-25T13:20:42","date_gmt":"2020-04-25T17:20:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=218033"},"modified":"2020-04-25T13:20:42","modified_gmt":"2020-04-25T17:20:42","slug":"coronavirus-cuba-registers-52-new-cases-and-two-deaths-this-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/coronavirus-cuba-registers-52-new-cases-and-two-deaths-this-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus: Cuba registers 52 new cases and two deaths this Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported 52 new <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus<\/a> infections at the close of this Friday, bringing the number of positive cases in the country to 1,337.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official report, two more persons died, for a total of 51 deaths from of COVID-19 on the island, while the recovered patients reached 437, after yesterday\u2019s 21 medical discharges.<\/p>\n<p>The 52 new confirmed cases were Cuban, of which 34 (65.3%) were contacts of confirmed cases and in 18 (34.6%) the source of infection was being investigated.<\/p>\n<p>More than half of the positives, 29 (55.7%) were men, while 23 (44.2%) were women.
