Experts studying the evolution of coronavirus<\/a> cases in Cuba predicted the anticipation of the peak of infections for next week, Cuban state media reported on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to the probability models, the estimate of the maximum number of people infected at the same time was reduced to 2,500 cases, according<\/a> to Cubadebate<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The professor clarified that, according to the evolution of the disease in Cuba, the models now indicate that \u201cnext week, approximately, we would be at the peak, anticipating the international average.\u201d However, he said that this is a reserved prognosis, because it will depend on the evolution of the disease in the coming days.<\/p>\n

The first models said that in Cuba about 4,500 active patients would accumulate in one day\u2015not new infections in one day, but the total number of patients hospitalized at the same time\u2015and they located the peak between mid and late May.
