Yesterday was another day without deaths from COVID-19<\/a> in Cuba. Contagion cases dropped to 10, as in March, when the pandemic began on the island. The number of hospitalized also decreased and now is 913.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not that we have solved, there is a better result, there is a greater recovery of patients,” said Francisco Dur\u00e1n, national director of epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), at the morning briefing.<\/p>\n

He said that among the newly infected there were more women than men (7 to 3) and that nine of them had contact with SARS-CoV-2 virus positive patients. He also highlighted that three of them are children.<\/p>\n

60.0% of new infections were asymptomatic and the most affected age groups were those under 40 years of age, with six cases, and those over 60 years of age, with four.<\/p>\n
