Contin\u00faan las gestiones para el regreso seguro de otros<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bruno Rodr\u00edguez P (@BrunoRguezP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrunoRguezP\/status\/1272869245341200386?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 16, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The closure of borders in many countries and the stoppage of most airlines\u2019 operations, left abroad some 445,000 Cubans residents on the island, according to figures <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cubadebate.cu\/noticias\/2020\/06\/11\/gobierno-cubano-informa-medidas-para-la-recuperacion-tras-la-epidemia-de-la-covid-19\/amp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recently cited<\/a> by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero.<\/p>\n<p>In this scenario, the coordination of the island\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs with authorities from various countries has allowed thousands of Cubans to return to the island from Germany, Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Russia, the <em>Agencia Cubana de Noticias<\/em> news agency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acn.cu\/cuba\/66248-tres-mil-815-cubanos-varados-por-la-covid-19-ya-estan-en-cuba-asegura-canciller\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pointed out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In recent statements, the Cuban foreign minister said that Cuba \u201chas spared no effort or resources in the protection of its citizens,\u201d amid the complex international epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus, and for this reason, Cuban consulates around the world provide \u201call possible support\u201d to its nationals abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, Cubans who remain outside the island, in nations like Nicaragua and Panama, have regretted their situation on the social media and are waiting for a solution for their return to Cuba.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the protocol established by the Cuban health authorities, travelers who have returned to the island have had to remain in isolation centers for 14 days until a possible contagion with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is ruled out.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"TVpbf5v6Wm\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/blog-on-my-isolation-in-havana\/\">Blog on my isolation in Havana<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Blog on my isolation in Havana&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews English\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/blog-on-my-isolation-in-havana\/embed\/#?secret=7DkVkWAYO6#?secret=TVpbf5v6Wm\" data-secret=\"TVpbf5v6Wm\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Cuba did not register deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, and <a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-15-de-junio-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to health authorities<\/a>, 11 people were diagnosed with the disease: 10 Cubans and a 24-year-old Congolese student.<\/p>\n<p>All of the infections are limited to eight municipalities in Havana, and six of them are related to already confirmed cases.
