{"id":225244,"date":"2020-07-29T13:52:54","date_gmt":"2020-07-29T17:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=225244"},"modified":"2020-07-29T13:53:40","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T17:53:40","slug":"cuban-airports-get-certification-for-arrival-of-international-travelers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/cuban-airports-get-certification-for-arrival-of-international-travelers\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuban airports get certification for arrival of international travelers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/contribute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Help us keep OnCuba alive<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The international airports Vilo Acu\u00f1a in Cayo Largo del Sur, Abel Santamar\u00eda, in the city of Santa Clara, and Jardines del Rey, in the northern keys of Ciego de \u00c1vila, are ready to receive international travelers after being certified for it by the Cuban authorities.<\/p>\n<p>This certification allows them to begin their operations by implementing the sanitary protocols established in the face of <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19<\/a>, at a time when a great deal of Cuba is already in phase three of the de-escalation and could receive tourists in several keys adjacent to the main island.<\/p>\n<p>Luis Alexander Ochoa, deputy director of the Cuban Aviation Corporation (CACSA), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canalcaribe.icrt.cu\/aeropuertos-de-cuba-listos-para-operar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">affirmed<\/a> on state television that all companies in the Cuban aeronautical system have a protocol approved by the Ministry of Public Health and a multidisciplinary team \u201cto guarantee the safety, quality and well-being of all passengers\u201d arriving at international airports.<\/p>\n<p>The new regulations establish that \u201cevery passenger who enters the air terminals will be subjected to a double check of body temperature.\u201d In addition, \u201cthose who arrive from abroad will be required to deliver their affidavit of health, based on a model previously delivered by the airline,\u201d and will be subjected to a PCR test, the television report said.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the protocol includes disinfecting luggage and reorganizing airport areas to guarantee physical distance, for which construction work has been carried out at the terminals.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"JM0V6DKPr7\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/steps-and-keys-for-reopening-cuban-tourism\/\">Steps and keys for reopening Cuban tourism<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
