New infections, meanwhile, amounted to 31 after 3,389 tests.<\/p>\n<p>The 88th victim of the pandemic is a Cuban resident in the municipality of 10 de Octubre.<\/p>\n<p>According <a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-3-de-agosto-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to the report issued today by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP)<\/a>, the 84-year-old man was hospitalized with fever and his health worsened with disorders of consciousness, low blood pressure and anuria that led to intensive therapy. Cardiorespiratory arrest cost him his life, and after necropsy, the diagnosis of <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19<\/a> was confirmed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">|Informaci\u00f3n diaria|<br \/>Se confirmaron 31 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 2 701 en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u25aa\ufe0f229 positivos activos<br \/>\u25aa\ufe0f228 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable<br \/>\u25aa\ufe0f1 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>\u25aa\ufe0f88 fallecidos <br \/>\u25aa\ufe0f2 382 altas<br \/>\u25aa\ufe0f2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bjecX578kc\">https:\/\/t.co\/bjecX578kc<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BgnJoU5gsN\">pic.twitter.com\/BgnJoU5gsN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1290639168431968258?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>All those diagnosed were Cuban: 17 were contacts of confirmed cases and the source of infection could not be specified in four individuals; 10 were infected abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Their number and geographic location is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Pinar del R\u00edo: 2 (Pinar del R\u00edo municipality).<\/p>\n<p>Artemisa: 7 (5 from Bauta municipality; Artemisa and Mariel with 1 each).<\/p>\n<p>Havana: 17 (7 from La Lisa municipality; Cerro, Playa and Marianao with 2 cases each; Boyeros, Plaza de La Revoluci\u00f3n, 10 de Octubre and Habana del Este with 1 case each).<\/p>\n<p>Sancti Sp\u00edritus: 1 (Sancti Sp\u00edritus municipality).<\/p>\n<p>Ciego de \u00c1vila: 1 (Mor\u00f3n municipality).<\/p>\n<p>Holgu\u00edn: 2 (Holgu\u00edn municipality).<\/p>\n<p>Granma: 1 (Jaguan\u00ed municipality).<\/p>\n<p>The 10 cases imported from Venezuela, Belgium, France and Benin are added to the records of Pinar del R\u00edo, Artemisa, Havana, Sancti Sp\u00edritus, Ciego de \u00c1vila, Holgu\u00edn and Granma.<\/p>\n<p>Men predominated over women (19-12); 21 were asymptomatic.<\/p>\n<p>There were nine discharges for a total of 2,382 recovered patients. At midnight Monday, there were no people in critical condition, but one was reported in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>Cuba has processed a total of 277,863 tests since March, of which 2,701 have been positive.
