Active cases as of midnight on August 9 numbered 496.<\/p>\n<p>Now there are 3,046 infected, 2,460 recovered and 88 deceased as a result of the <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new coronavirus<\/a> since, already a pandemic, it started hitting the island last March.<\/p>\n<p>All the cases are Cuban, 61 were contacts of confirmed cases, 10 had the source of infection abroad and in 22 the source of infection is not specified.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">|Informaci\u00f3n diaria|<br \/>Se confirmaron 93 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 3 046  en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a><\/p>\n<p>496 positivos activos<br \/>490 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable<br \/>4 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>2 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>88 fallecidos <br \/>2 460 altas<br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HeDWmevP58\">https:\/\/t.co\/HeDWmevP58<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xGFix5fCoq\">pic.twitter.com\/xGFix5fCoq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1292835218991259648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 10, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The origin of the disease is autochthonous in 83 people, while in 10 the SARS-CoV-2 virus was acquired abroad.<\/p>\n<p>By age group, they are as follows: 43 between 20 and 39 years old; 24 between 40 and 59; 16 with 60 and more than 60 and 10 under 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Geographical distribution of the new positive cases:<\/p>\n<p>Havana (76 cases): Habana del Este (21), La Lisa (10), Marianao (8), Playa (8), 10 de Octubre (7), Plaza de la Revoluci\u00f3n (6), Arroyo Naranjo (5), Boyeros (3), Centro Habana (2), Guanabacoa (2), Cerro (2), Cotorro (1) and San Miguel del Padr\u00f3n (1).<\/p>\n<p>Artemisa (10): Mariel (4), Artemisa (2), Candelaria (1), San Crist\u00f3bal (1), Guanajay (1) and Bah\u00eda Honda (1).<\/p>\n<p>Ciego de \u00c1vila (2): Ciro Redondo (1) and Ciego de \u00c1vila (1).<\/p>\n<p>Las Tunas (2): Las Tunas municipality (2).<\/p>\n<p>Holgu\u00edn (2): Holgu\u00edn municipality (2).<\/p>\n<p>Isla de la Juventud special municipality (1)<\/p>\n<p>The imported cases are from Havana, Ciego de \u00c1vila, Holgu\u00edn, Las Tunas and Isla de la Juventud.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, nine patients were discharged, two were reported critically ill and four were seriously ill.<\/p>\n<p>959 people are hospitalized and 11,501 are under primary healthcare surveillance in their homes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"uNE91obD0D\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/what-went-wrong-in-havana-the-weight-of-the-capital-and-cubas-new-normal\/\">What went wrong in Havana?
