A 39-year-old man, resident in Madruga (Mayabeque), acquired the disease abroad.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 59 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 4 032 en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a><\/p>\n<p>558 positivos activos<br \/>536 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable<br \/>8 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>14 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>94 fallecidos <br \/>3 378 altas m\u00e9dicas<br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xndZevyrfA\">https:\/\/t.co\/xndZevyrfA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/72wHPU1pdO\">pic.twitter.com\/72wHPU1pdO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1300428758327922691?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 31, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>34 men, 25 women and of the total, 35 were asymptomatic at the time of their diagnosis, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-30-de-agosto-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">today\u2019s Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The provinces that registered patients: Havana, Artemisa, Ciego de \u00c1vila, Matanzas; and Mayabeque, with an imported case.<\/p>\n<p>By age group, the greatest number of patients are concentrated between 29 and 39 years old, with 25 cases today, and from 40 to 59, with 20. There were five under 20 years old, and nine over 60 .<\/p>\n<p>At midnight yesterday, 1,141 people remained hospitalized for clinical-epidemiological surveillance in a day when there were 51 discharges.<\/p>\n<p>No new fatalities were reported, so the death toll from the new coronavirus remains at 94 and now the fatality rate stands at 2.33%.<\/p>\n<p>22 people were in intensive care: eight were in critical condition and 14 were seriously ill.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, 5,438 tests were processed, for a total of 398,223 since the beginning of the pandemic in Cuba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help us keep OnCuba alive The SARS-CoV-2 virus produced 59 new contagions yesterday, detected by Cuban health authorities after conducting more than 5,000 tests, and those infected by the new coronavirus on the island already amount to 4,032.
