With his death, the death toll has reached 117 and the fatality rate remains at 2.24%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new contagions correspond to 73 Cubans and eight foreigners, temporary residents on the island, although all were autochthonous: 78 contacts of confirmed cases and in three individuals the source of infection is not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 81 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 5 222 en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a><\/p>\n<p>597 positivos activos<br \/>586 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable<br \/>3 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>8 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>117 fallecidos <br \/>4 506 altas m\u00e9dicas<br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Vo9f15MTUv\">https:\/\/t.co\/Vo9f15MTUv<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gVtOtCdy0n\">pic.twitter.com\/gVtOtCdy0n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1308403156217401351?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 22, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The provinces that reported the contagions were: Havana (42 patients), Matanzas (24), Ciego de \u00c1vila (13), Sancti Sp\u00edritus (1) and Holgu\u00edn (1).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe situation is complex, control is not achieved, the vaccine should not be available until next year,\u201d said Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n during his daily appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men predominate over women (54-27) and 77.8% of the total were asymptomatic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By age group, 10 are between 20 and 39 years old, 40 between 20 and 39 years old, 25 between 40 and 59 years old and four over 60 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until midnight on September 21, 8,074 people were hospitalized and 11 remained in intensive care: three reported in critical condition and eight in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday, 44 patients were discharged, and 4,506 have already recovered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With yesterday\u2019s 8,175 samples, Cuba has processed a total of 554,425 tests, of which 5,222 have been positive.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help us keep OnCuba alive The SARS-CoV-2 virus in Cuba registered one deceased and 81 new infections from five provinces.
