He said it during a virtual appearance in the special session of the United Nations General Assembly for the commemoration of its 75th anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt is the greatest danger to international peace and security. It promotes conflicts, unconventional and commercial wars and imposes severe unilateral coercive measures and squanders, in its arms race, essential resources for the sustainable development of our peoples,\u201d said the Cuban minister.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EEUU?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EEUU<\/a> eleva su hostilidad contra <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a> a niveles cualitativamente superiores.<\/p>\n<p>Viola de forma sistem\u00e1tica los DDHH del pueblo cubano al recrudecer el Bloqueo econ\u00f3mico, comercial y financiero y su car\u00e1cter extraterritorial.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AGNU75?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AGNU75<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RQRzKfi9PQ\">pic.twitter.com\/RQRzKfi9PQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bruno Rodr\u00edguez P (@BrunoRguezP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrunoRguezP\/status\/1308205044702031874?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 22, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also pointed out that Washington refuses to cooperate in confronting the multiple crises generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and does not recognize important agreements on the environment, disarmament and arms control, while leaving international forums such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO and the Human Rights Council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt would seem that it is at war with the planet, its vital resources and its inhabitants,\u201d he added in his appearance from Havana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rodr\u00edguez also denounced that the current U.S. administration has increased its hostility against Cuba to \u201cqualitatively superior\u201d levels, as well as intensifying its economic, commercial and financial blockade and attacking the island\u2019s medical cooperation and the governments that request it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt interferes in the internal affairs of dozens of UN member states and threatens those it accuses of influencing its corrupt electoral system. Fear and repeated lies are the new weapons in its dishonest media and disinformation strategy,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The attack by the head of the Caribbean island\u2019s diplomacy against its northern neighbor also included a criticism of its actions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which in his opinion prevents a \u201cbroad, just and lasting\u201d solution, as historically claimed by the UN, and instead proposes the so-called \u201cDeal of the century.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, he reaffirmed the Caribbean country\u2019s commitment to the principles of international law and the strengthening of multilateralism, cooperation with international organizations and the empowerment of this UN General Assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/mundo\/medio-oriente\/trump-entre-israel-y-los-paises-arabes\/<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuba\u2019s participation in the high-level segment of the 75th session of the General Assembly foresees a speech this Tuesday by President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first time in its history, the sessions of the Assembly, which will last until September 29, will be held virtually, without the presence in New York of high dignitaries and delegations, due to the health crisis caused by the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID pandemic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez Parrilla denounced this Monday the \u201cirresponsible behavior\u201d of the United States government.
