The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today that the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SARS-CoV-2 virus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has left 6,000 contagions since March with the 22 new cases registered in Cuba yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total, 21 of the new cases correspond to Cubans and one to a foreigner, a 44-year-old Canadian resident in the Ciego de \u00c1vila territory of Mor\u00f3n, the only person who acquired the disease abroad, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-11-de-octubre-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">according to today\u2019s report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 22 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 6 mil en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>301 casos activos <br \/>297 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>1 paciente en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>3 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>123 fallecidos <br \/>5 574 altas m\u00e9dicas <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3RrkyW7jtO\">https:\/\/t.co\/3RrkyW7jtO<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/20OwyJ2Fzq\">pic.twitter.com\/20OwyJ2Fzq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1315654381090504704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 12, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, 20 of the new patients were related to confirmed cases and in one individual the source of infection is not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The disease predominated among males over females (13-9), and of the total, 13 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By region, the patients were detected in four territories: Pinar del R\u00edo (one case in one municipality), Havana (6 cases in four municipalities), Sancti Sp\u00edritus (13 cases in two municipalities), Ciego de \u00c1vila (2 cases in two municipalities, although the Mor\u00f3n case was imported).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At midnight on October 11, 3,848 people were remained hospitalized for clinical epidemiological surveillance and no new deaths had been registered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">34 people were discharged and four patients were reported in intensive care: one in critical condition and three in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the 7,903 samples taken, Cuba has processed a total of 699,646 tests in search of the new coronavirus.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help us keep OnCuba alive Without daily press conferences, Dr. Dur\u00e1n\u2019s informative methodology were missed.
