According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-13-de-octubre-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report issued today by the Ministry of Public Health<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, all the cases are limited to the territories of Havana and Ciego de \u00c1vila, which barely surpasses the capital\u2019s with two positive cases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ten infections identified in Ciego de \u00c1vila correspond to the main municipality, while Havana, with eight cases, had reports from five municipalities: Cotorro, Habana del Este, Cerro, Centro Habana and San Miguel del Padr\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 18 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 6 mil 035 en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>257 casos activos <br \/>250 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>2 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>5 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>123 fallecidos <br \/>5 mil 653 altas m\u00e9dicas <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RNlUTIFOMv\">https:\/\/t.co\/RNlUTIFOMv<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/J6QrdJS1FW\">pic.twitter.com\/J6QrdJS1FW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1316379748474515456?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 14, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total number of COVID-19 cases yesterday, 14 were contacts of confirmed cases and in four individuals the source of infection was not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Males predominated over females (14-4) and, of the total, 11 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is also a slight increase in the number of suspected patients (759), although the number of hospitalized patients decreased to 2,959.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the day, 51 patients were discharged while seven, the majority from Havana, were in intensive care: two in critical condition and five in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were no new deaths from the coronavirus and Cuba continues to report 123 deceased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday, 6,758 samples were studied, with which the country has processed a total of 713,059 tests since March, of which 6,035 have been positive.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help us keep OnCuba alive The SARS-CoV-2 virus produced 18 new infections in Cuba during the last 24 hours.
