reports one deceased and more than 50 positive cases from COVID-19 this October 17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resident in the municipality of Sancti Sp\u00edritus, the patient who died was 53 years old and had a personal pathological history of hypertension and obesity, the Ministry of Public Health <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-16-de-octubre-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/?doing_wp_cron=1602945932.1980829238891601562500\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">refers in its usual report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two provinces registered almost all positive cases of COVID-19 this October 17, when a total of 52 new confirmed cases were registered from 7,085 tests carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sancti Sp\u00edritus with 29 and Havana with 22 contagions from the new coronavirus are the most affected provinces today, along with Pinar del R\u00edo, which reports only one patient in the municipality of specified at the moment and 50 were contacts of confirmed cases, while 37 people were asymptomatic at the time of testing positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total cases, 14 (26.9%) were women and 38 (73%) men.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the death of the day, there are already 125 deaths from COVID-19 in Cuba and 6,170 confirmed cases, of which 5,753 have recovered satisfactorily.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the two evacuees and the 51 medical discharges of the day, 290 confirmed cases remain hospitalized, 282 have a stable clinical evolution, while three patients are in critical condition and five in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2,247 patients are
