Of the 35 new infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus<\/a> identified in Cuba, 28 were imported, as explained today by Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n, who during his appearance on Fridays had to highlight that due to this aspect almost all the country\u2019s provinces reported cases in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

This is the case with Pinar del R\u00edo, Artemisa, Havana, Villa Clara, Cienfuegos, Sancti Sp\u00edritus, Ciego de \u00c1vila, Camag\u00fcey, Holgu\u00edn, Granma and Santiago de Cuba.<\/p>\n

The figure is illustrative, since 155 of the 350 patients detected this week were infected outside the Island.<\/p>\n

28 Cubans and seven foreigners are involved in today\u2019s report<\/a>, which only shows seven autochthonous cases, at which point Dur\u00e1n highlighted the work of the health authorities and the population of the provinces of Guant\u00e1namo, Granma and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, which have been more than 200 days without reporting autochthonous infections.<\/p>\n

In general, this week in 87.1% of the cases the source of infection in the country was identified, due to contacts with confirmed cases. Most of the patients are Cubans: 7,875, against 235 foreigners.<\/p>\n

Regarding the incidence rate, Pinar del R\u00edo, Ciego de \u00c1vila and Santiago de Cuba have the highest figures, of which only two of them registered autochthonous cases today. In short, only Havana, Matanzas, Villa Clara, Ciego de \u00c1vila and Santiago de Cuba.<\/p>\n

With today\u2019s 10,921 samples, Cuba has processed a total of 69,739 tests in search of the disease this week.<\/p>\n

Until midnight, only two patients remained in intensive care, both reported in serious condition. 28 people were discharged and there were no deaths, of which only one was reported this week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
