We also reinforced the use of audiovisual media with the capacities created by our country: an Educational Channel with national coverage, a production house that guaranteed all the necessary content to support teachers and the family, as well as a telematic network that manages an educational portal,\u201d said L\u00f3pez, quoted by the official newspaper <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.granma.cu\/cuba-covid-19\/2020-12-08\/concluyo-el-curso-2019-2020-sin-transmision-de-la-covid-19-08-12-2020-23-12-05\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Granma<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Yf6uu26COB\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/school-year-in-cuba-continues-on-television\/\">School year in Cuba continues on television<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;School year in Cuba continues on television&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews English\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/school-year-in-cuba-continues-on-television\/embed\/#?secret=CNDG3jyjnV#?secret=Yf6uu26COB\" data-secret=\"Yf6uu26COB\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The deputy minister affirmed that in the 2020-2021 academic year the island is experiencing the same epidemiological situation caused by the pandemic, so \u201cevery day we are called to strictly comply with the hygienic-sanitary measures and the permanent use of the mask.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She acknowledged the \u201ctitanic work\u201d of the teaching staff who presented educational programs on television at a time when schools had to close to protect students from the contagious disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Likewise, she said that many teachers not only collaborated in the continuity of the educational work, but also \u201clent their support in hospitals, in isolation centers, in food production and in caring for the family.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the source, the deputy minister reported that Cuba is working on a proposal for the transformation of educational institutions and modalities, which are the new forms of work of the Third Improvement, and will be generalized in the recently started 2020-2021 school year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On March 24, the school year was interrupted due to the epidemiological situation unleashed by COVID-19, but day-care centers continued to function to provide service to the children of mothers who had to stay in their jobs, following government policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September, the 2019-2020 school year was resumed in almost the entire island, although applying the face-to-face and television variants, due to the re-outbreak of the disease suffered by several Cuban provinces.
