The majority correspond to Cubans, except for a Venezuelan identified in the Havana municipality of Playa, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-15-de-diciembre-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">today\u2019s report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total, 33 were contacts of confirmed cases, the source of infection in 48 of them is abroad, and only in two individuals the cause of the disease is not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 83 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 9 mil 671 en <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cuba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cuba<\/a><br \/>874 casos activos <br \/>865 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>3 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>6 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>137 fallecidos <br \/>8 mil 658 pacientes recuperados <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Zg3sgNgv7f\">https:\/\/t.co\/Zg3sgNgv7f<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eRXyh7Ynpo\">pic.twitter.com\/eRXyh7Ynpo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1339229976516849664?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 16, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twelve provinces are involved in the diagnoses, although five of them only reported imported cases, such as Matanzas (one case), Cienfuegos (two), Camag\u00fcey (three), Las Tunas (one) and Holgu\u00edn (one).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Havana (30 cases, 19 imported), tops the list with the highest number of cases this day, followed by Granma (14 cases, eight imported), Villa Clara (12-3), Mayabeque (6-4), Santiago de Cuba (5-2), Guant\u00e1namo (4-2) and Pinar del R\u00edo (4-2).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">74.6% of today\u2019s positive cases were asymptomatic at the time of their diagnosis, according to the MINSAP report, which highlighted that 66 patients were discharged on the day, thus 8,658 have already recovered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At midnight on Tuesday, 3,502 people were hospitalized for epidemiological surveillance and there were nine patients in intensive care: three in critical condition and six in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were no deaths on the day from COVID-19.
