{"id":232062,"date":"2020-12-21T13:59:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T18:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=232062"},"modified":"2020-12-21T13:59:22","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T18:59:22","slug":"cuba-with-115-new-coronavirus-infections-after-processing-more-than-14000-samples","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/cuba-with-115-new-coronavirus-infections-after-processing-more-than-14000-samples\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba with 115 new coronavirus infections after processing more than 14,000 samples"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the 115 new infections <a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-20-de-diciembre-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP)<\/a>, Cuba is beginning the next to the last week of a month in which COVID-19 cases have skyrocketed, largely due to imported cases.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, 51 of the positive cases had the source of infection abroad, 54 were contacts of confirmed cases, while in 10 individuals the source of infection is not specified.<\/p>\n<p>For this diagnosis, until midnight December 20, 14,378 samples were processed, with which 1,343,993 tests have already been carried out on the island in search of the SARS-CoV-2 virus since March.<\/p>\n<p>Except for the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, all provinces reported infections.
