Of these, 1,182 present a stable clinical evolution, while 12 are in intensive care: five in critical condition and seven in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In total, 2,969 patients are hospitalized for COVID-19, and the 1,194 confirmed are joined by 718 suspects and 1,057 under surveillance. Of these, 102 are contacts of confirmed cases, 101 have their source of infection abroad, and in 14 it has not been possible to specify how they were infected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By sex, 101 are female and 116 male. 70.9% (154) of the positive cases this Wednesday were asymptomatic at the time of their detection, of which there is now a total of 6,988, which represents 65.2% of those confirmed to date in Cuba, according to the MINSAP .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By age groups, those under 20 reported 14 new infections; those from 20 to 39, 71; those from 40 to 59, 93; and those over 60, 39. Meanwhile, by territories only the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality did not register new patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Havana increased its red numbers with 99 positive cases, 34 of them imported. The capital was followed by Villa Clara (20 cases, 19 imported), Las Tunas: (18 cases, 9 imported), Matanzas (16 cases, 12 imported) and Mayabeque (13 cases, 3 imported).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rest were distributed as follows: Pinar del R\u00edo (4 cases, 3 imported), Artemisa (4 cases, 3 imported), Cienfuegos (3 cases, 1 imported), Sancti Sp\u00edritus (1 imported case), Ciego de \u00c1vila (1 imported case) , Camag\u00fcey (6 imported cases), Granma (8 cases, 1 imported), Holgu\u00edn (4 cases, 2 imported), Santiago de Cuba (10 cases, 4 imported) and Guant\u00e1namo (10 cases, 2 imported).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuba for the first time exceeded the 200 new cases of COVID-19 detected in one day (217), thus registering a new record of infections in one day, the third in a week.
