women, and highlighted that except for Cuba \u201cno third world country has a COVID-19 vaccine in the clinical trial,\u201d says the official statement.<\/p>\n<p>The IFV is also developing the candidate Soberana 01, which is about to conclude phase 1 of clinical trials and, according to the director of the center, \u201chas also shown safety and a very good immune response, but it is slower Caribbean country is working on two other candidates: Abdala (intramuscular) and Mambisa (intranasal), which will begin clinical trials in which each will be tested in two phases.<\/p>\n<p>Cuba, which to date has a total of 11,601 cases of coronavirus and 143 deaths, has a recognized biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry that currently produces eight vaccines against diseases such as meningitis, lung cancer (therapeutic) and solid tumors, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the Caribbean country entered a \u201cnew normal\u201d stage in October that includes the operation of activities and services at full capacity, although some measures such as the mandatory use of a mask in public places and physical distancing are maintained.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities announced this week new measures to curb a rising wave of infections attributed to the reopening of international airports in mid-October, and a month later in the case of
