Of the latter, 2,778 have a stable clinical condition, while 24 are in ICUs: nine in critical condition and 15 in serious condition, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-10-de-enero-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the most recent report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 431 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 15 007 <br \/>2 802  casos activos <br \/>2 778  con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>9 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>15 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>153 fallecidos <br \/>12 022  pacientes recuperados <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vtUHtZXkrm\">https:\/\/t.co\/vtUHtZXkrm<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6K1AbPRX1M\">pic.twitter.com\/6K1AbPRX1M<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1348645682459140097?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 11, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for the new cases, 421 correspond to Cubans and 10 are foreigners. The autochthonous cases established a record of 395\u2015271 of them are contacts of previously confirmed cases\u2015, while the imported ones were only 36 this time. However, according to Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n, national director of Epidemiology of the MINSAP, 285 of the autochthonous cases are related to international travelers, who continue to be the main source of the current outbreak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the newly infected, 238 correspond to the female sex and 194 to the male, while 231 were asymptomatic at the time of their detection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By age group, there were 44 patients under 20 years old, 155 between 20 and 39 years old, 152 between 40 and 59 years old, and 80 over 60 years old, the group with the highest risk of reaching severe stages and dying from COVID-19, according to statistics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And by provinces, Havana continues to report the highest number of cases, with 123 new infections at the end of Sunday. Guant\u00e1namo (89), Matanzas (71) and Santiago de Cuba (51) followed the capital and present together with it the most complex epidemiological situation, although cases are reported in all Cuban provinces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, Dr. Dur\u00e1n again alerted the population about the high risks of contagion in the current situation and confirmed that in the first 10 days of January, 2,952 cases and seven deaths from COVID-19 have already been reported, which leads to thinking that the negative records could be broken for a month in Cuba.
