With them, the fatality on the island is 0.9% and the total number of deaths is 160.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the deceased was 83 years old, a resident in the main municipality of Santiago de Cuba. The other, 87, lived in the main municipality of Camag\u00fcey. A total of 14 people have lost their lives to the pandemic this month, the fourth deadliest to date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n has explained, and the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) informed in its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-13-de-enero-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">corresponding report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that there is another record of active cases, 3,660 in a day where the new infections reported from all the provinces of the country totaled 505.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 505  nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 16549 <br \/>3660 casos activos <br \/>3622 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>17 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>21 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>160 fallecidos(2 del d\u00eda)<br \/>12699 pacientes recuperados <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/l8XUWgeKqa\">https:\/\/t.co\/l8XUWgeKqa<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/icUI2bQ4cY\">pic.twitter.com\/icUI2bQ4cY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1349734757752475649?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 14, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most were a consequence of autochthonous transmission, which in general is the cause this time of 472 positive cases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In short, of the 505 new cases, 435 were contacts of confirmed cases, 33 had the source of infection abroad and in 37 individuals the source of infection is not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, 52.3% of all SARS-CoV-2 virus carriers were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The territory with the highest number of patients was Havana, with 175 positive cases between imported and autochthonous, followed by Santiago de Cuba (91), Matanzas (85), Villa Clara (41) and Ciego de \u00c1vila (27), although all provinces registered cases today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By age group, 69 are under 20 years of age, an aspect that Dr. Dur\u00e1n drew attention to, since 54 of them are in pediatric ages and five were reported in serious condition, although with a positive prognosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rest classify as follows: 206 between 20 and 29 years, 148 between 40 and 59, and 82 are over 60.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">38 patients were in intensive care, 17 in critical condition and 21 in serious condition.
