Out of that amount, 34 deaths have occurred so far this month, and January ranks, after April, as the most disastrous period on the island, taking into account deaths due to the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The deceased were men and their ages ranged between 46 and 73 years. They resided in four municipalities of Havana and the main municipality of Camag\u00fcey. All were contacts of confirmed cases and suffered other diseases in their medical history. They are followed by Guant\u00e1namo (33 cases), Cienfuegos (29) and Artemisa (27), although 14 provinces diagnosed COVID-19 patients until midnight this Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were 323 autochthonous cases and, by nationality, there are 333 Cubans involved and 16 foreigners from countries such as Russia, the Czech Republic and the Congo, despite the fact that the countries with the highest incidence on this day are Spain, Venezuela, Russia and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding the day\u2019s discharges, only 277 were reported, a smaller number than the day\u2019s diagnoses, for which there were a total of 4,417 confirmed active cases. As a whole there were 9,775 patients in hospitals and specialized centers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In intensive care, the MINSAP reported 43 people, 18 in critical condition and 25 in serious condition; two of these are minors and are part of the 322 diagnosed minors with the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the information published today, 10,931 samples were processed, of which 349 were positive, for a total of 19,122 patients with COVID-19 since March.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the last 24 hours, five deaths were reported in Cuba due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, thus the death toll rose to 180, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
