Today, unfortunately, a record was broken again in Cuba: the new infections reported by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) amounted to 786 and the number of hospitalized people is close to 10,000, after 9,944 were reported until midnight on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, with the deaths of three people in the provinces of Havana and Guant\u00e1namo\u2014two men and one woman, aged between 50 and 61 years\u2014the death toll from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> now stands at 200<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The specificities of these deaths <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-25-de-enero-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are explained in the report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where it is also noted that 720 of the new diagnoses are due to contacts of confirmed cases, 13 had the source of infection abroad and in 53 individuals the origin of the infection was not yet specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 786 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 22614.<br \/>4668 casos activos <br \/>4621 con evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>16 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>31 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>200 fallecidos (3 del d\u00eda)<br \/>17703 pacientes recuperados <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/O54pTdXFkC\">https:\/\/t.co\/O54pTdXFkC<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KLx6fcRwAz\">pic.twitter.com\/KLx6fcRwAz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1354082980487176194?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 26, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the number of discharges was noteworthy (669), the aforementioned statistics, together with the total confirmed active cases, which now number 4,668 patients, lead to an alarming situation in some territories more than in others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only nine municipalities, between Havana and Guant\u00e1namo, concentrate 46% of the incidence of this disease in the last fifteen days, according to Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n, who added that these territories also lead the incidence rates in a general sense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until midnight on January 25, Havana had diagnosed 344 new infections, between autochthonous and imported cases, and 70 of them in a single municipality: Diez de Octubre. They are followed by Santiago de Cuba (121 cases), Guant\u00e1namo (82), Matanzas (48) and Camag\u00fcey (44), despite the fact that 14 provinces reported positive cases for the new coronavirus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Dur\u00e1n warned once again that \u201cat the first symptom anyone has, they should go to the doctor, because this disease has a sudden evolution,\u201d a criterion supported by the 47 who are currently in intensive care: 16 in critical condition and 31 in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another fact that draws attention is that asymptomatic patients decreased this day to 30.5% among the total, of which 773 were autochthonous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">January has added 10,558 positive cases in the evolution of the pandemic and is about to become the month with the highest number of deaths, a statistic that to date was recorded in April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The countries that had the highest incidence in imported cases were Russia, Spain, the United States and Haiti, while the 16 foreigners reported on this day came mainly from the Congo, Angola and Bolivia.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The end of January is looking like its beginning.
