With them, COVID-19 closed the second month of 2021 with 108 fatalities. The territory remains in the lead by incidence rate, followed by Mayabeque, Pinar del R\u00edo, Santiago de Cuba, the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud and Guant\u00e1namo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only yesterday, the capital reported 377 infections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The figures reported by Pinar del R\u00edo were 85, Camag\u00fcey (60), Mayabeque (49), Santiago (45) and Guant\u00e1namo (40).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total number of hospitalized people also rose this day, and now 19,327 are under some kind of surveillance; 62 of them were in ICUs, where 23 patients were reported in critical condition 39 in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The island\u2019s 22 specialized laboratories processed 19,155 samples yesterday, according to the MINSAP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The day\u2019s discharges totaled 864, which indicates that at least 46,106 people have recovered from the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">51.8% of all new infections were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Havana continues to be the province where transmission is greatest.
