{"id":235705,"date":"2021-03-06T13:05:23","date_gmt":"2021-03-06T18:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=235705"},"modified":"2021-03-06T13:05:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-06T18:05:23","slug":"cuba-maintains-number-of-covid-19-positive-cases-of-last-few-days-with-750-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/cuba-maintains-number-of-covid-19-positive-cases-of-last-few-days-with-750-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba maintains number of COVID-19 positive cases of last few days with 750 cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuba reported a total of 750 new cases of COVID-19 at the end of March 5, a figure similar to that of the last few days, according to Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n in his usual morning TV appearance, based on data registered in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-5-de-marzo-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Public Health\u2019s report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With these numbers, the country reports 54,835 cases since the arrival of the pandemic almost a year ago, while at the moment 22,138 patients remain hospitalized, 13,783 under epidemiological surveillance, 3,809 suspects and 4,546 confirmed cases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of cases responds to the 18,317 samples processed yesterday, which yielded 721 autochthonous cases and 29 with a source of infection abroad, 25 of these detected in the country\u2019s capital with a source of origin from Spain, Russia, Mexico, Italy and Venezuela.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total of 750 patients with the new coronavirus, 710 were contacts of confirmed cases and in 11 the source of infection is not specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Se confirmaron 750 nuevos casos de <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, para un acumulado de 54835.<\/p>\n<p>4546 casos activos <br \/>4478 evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica estable <br \/>29 pacientes en estado cr\u00edtico<br \/>39 pacientes en estado grave<br \/>344 fallecidos (3 en el d\u00eda)<br \/>49889 pacientes recuperados <br \/>2 evacuados<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mAIGU0Q9kF\">https:\/\/t.co\/mAIGU0Q9kF<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/85t6gk4KzZ\">pic.twitter.com\/85t6gk4KzZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica de Cuba (@MINSAPCuba) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba\/status\/1368217092013629440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 6, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By provinces, all registered positive cases, although Havana remained with the highest number of infected with 388, with the highest incidence in the municipality of Guanabacoa with 89 cases, even more than in the other provinces that registered higher figures such as Mayabeque (68), Pinar del R\u00edo (55) and Santiago de Cuba (47).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the total cases, 300 were women and 450 men; 371 were asymptomatic when they were diagnosed, while 122 patients over 60 stand out by age group and in the pediatric age group, seven under one year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Dur\u00e1n mourned the death of three people: two from the Cerro municipality in the capital (a 62-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man), as well as an 87-year-old man from Bayamo, Granma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday, 752 medical discharges were given. Of the 4,546 patients confirmed to date, 4,478 remain in a favorable clinical condition and 68 are in intensive care, 29 in critical condition and 39 in serious
