{"id":235979,"date":"2021-03-12T12:11:40","date_gmt":"2021-03-12T17:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=235979"},"modified":"2021-03-12T12:11:40","modified_gmt":"2021-03-12T17:11:40","slug":"coronavirus-in-cuba-762-infections-and-four-deaths-this-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/coronavirus-in-cuba-762-infections-and-four-deaths-this-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus in Cuba: 762 infections and four deaths this Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-11-de-marzo-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 762 new infections caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which on Thursday also resulted in four deaths in Cuba and a high number of people in intensive care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the infections are due to autochthonous transmission (759), 741 were related to confirmed cases and 48.8% of the total were asymptomatic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The three provinces that report the highest numbers of patients from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Havana (368), Granma (105) and Pinar del R\u00edo (65). With them, the number of fatalities reached 365. Just in March, there have been 41 deaths from coronavirus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until midnight, 24,493 people were hospitalized, 77 of them in intensive care, the second highest figure in a year: 34 were in critical condition and 43 in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday, reported discharges involved 768 people, and with them, 54,862 patients recovered from the coronavirus in Cuba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of imported cases, for its part, decreased to three; and four foreigners tested positive for the virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The samples processed in a day in which a year of confrontation with the new coronavirus was commemorated discreetly
