The <\/span>Cuban fashion brand Clandestina<\/span><\/a> returned this Friday to the U.S. city of New York, according to an announcement on social networks by the entrepreneurs who lead this private business on the island.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBack to the Big Apple, clandestinxs!\u201d they wrote on their official Facebook profile to advance the presentation of the new collection \u201cNo winter island\u201d in a space located in \u201cthe very heart of Manhattan.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In collaboration with The Canvas, powered by Querencia Studio, the Cuban brand will export its 100% cotton products in the New York sustainable fashion market, according to its official <\/span>website<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cNo winter island\u201d collection will be marketed in an establishment located at 250 Bowery NYC and in the Clandestina brand <\/span>digital store<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of summer, we chose the term No Winter to create a direct connection with people from other regions with climates different from ours,\u201d explained Clandestina Co-founder and Creative Director <\/span>Idania del R\u00edo<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, The Canvas president, Devin Gilmartin, affirmed that his company and the Cuban startup have collaborated closely since 2019, which is why they decided to extend the long-term partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSince then, we exchange ideas, we travel between Havana and New York for collaborations, and we share our passion for building a connected and global community,\u201d said the American businessman, quoted by the source.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gilmartin said that this collaboration \u201cbrings the spirit of Havana to The Canvas Bowery\u201d and assured that The Canvas\u2019s association with Clandestina goes beyond fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clandestina was the first independently managed urban fashion brand in Cuba. Since its foundation, it has managed to sell its garments and accessories through the Internet and at the headquarters of its store in Old Havana, which before the pandemic was visited daily by a large number of customers, both Cuban and foreign.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
