{"id":236603,"date":"2021-03-25T11:47:39","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T15:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=236603"},"modified":"2021-03-25T11:47:39","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T15:47:39","slug":"cuba-reports-three-deaths-from-coronavirus-816-infections-and-827-discharges-this-wednesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/cuba-reports-three-deaths-from-coronavirus-816-infections-and-827-discharges-this-wednesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba reports three deaths from coronavirus, 816 infections and 827 discharges this Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Wednesday the infections from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SARS-CoV-2 virus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> amounted to 816 in Cuba, with three deaths, 3,334 hospitalizations with active cases and 827 discharges, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-24-de-marzo-a-las-12-de-la-noche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">today\u2019s report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The majority are autochthonous transmissions (808), 782 were contacts of confirmed cases and eight individuals were infected abroad, involving Cuban travelers from Russia, the United States and Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Havana reported the highest number of positive cases (447), followed by Granma (100), Santiago de Cuba (56) and Camag\u00fcey (54). Today Regla and Old Havana show the highest rates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the three deaths reported on the day, the pandemic has left 408 casualties. There were 84 deaths just in March.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The victims, two men and one woman, were from Havana and Santiago de Cuba and their ages ranged between 60 and 79 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After processing 19,812 samples, 49.1% of those diagnosed were asymptomatic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By age group, and according to the explanation of Dr. Francisco Dur\u00e1n, again those under 20 years of age make up a number in the face of which the population must continue to take precautions, 121 on the day. From 20 to 39 years, there were 238 cases, while from 40 to 59 years, they were 324. Also, 133 were patients over 60 years of age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ICUs reported 64 patients, 23 in critical condition and 41 in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Havana had the highest number of cases, followed by Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Camag\u00fcey.
