{"id":237537,"date":"2021-04-15T11:18:33","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T15:18:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=237537"},"modified":"2021-04-15T11:18:33","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T15:18:33","slug":"with-1004-new-cases-cuba-exceeds-90000-coronavirus-infections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/with-1004-new-cases-cuba-exceeds-90000-coronavirus-infections\/","title":{"rendered":"With 1,004 new cases, Cuba exceeds 90,000 coronavirus infections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In thirteen months of fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Cuba added 90,404 infections after diagnosing 1,004 patients with <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID-19<\/a> this Wednesday, a day in which there were four deaths, according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/salud.msp.gob.cu\/parte-de-cierre-del-dia-14-de-abril-a-las-12-de-la-noche-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">daily report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of those diagnosed were due to autochthonous transmission (988), 961 were contacts of confirmed cases, while 16 were infected abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The imported cases mostly involve Cuban travelers from Russia, although nations such as Germany, the United States and Ecuador also had an impact. The death toll to date stands at 491; 66 to deaths were reported in April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of discharges on the day amounted to 1,007, while 69 patients continued in intensive care: 32 in critical condition and 37 in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of midnight, there were 24,408 hospitalizations, while active
